1883 Lilian May Abbot, daughter of Thomas Abbott and Mary Ann Young, was born on the 25th July 1883 in Lytchett Matravers, Dorset. She was baptised on the 7th October 1883 at St Mary’s Church, Lytchett Matravers. (Coincidentally her baptism ceremony was on the same day and at the same church as her future husband Bertram George Foot)
1891 Census: Aged 7 years, Lilian lived with her parents on Wareham Road, Lytchett Matravers.
1901 Census: Aged 17, Lilian is still living with her parents and is a teacher at the Board School in Lytchett Matravers.
1907 Marriage: On the 31st December 1907, Lilian May Abbott & Bertram George Foot were married at St Mary’s Church, Lytchett Matravers.

The marriage took place at St. Mary’s Church, Lytchett Matravers, on Tuesday afternoon, the 31st December, between Miss Lilian May Abbott, only daughter of Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Mary Ann Abbott and Mr. Bertram George Foot, second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. P. Foot. Both parties are well known and respected at Lytchett Matravers, the bride having been assistant mistress of the Council Schools for some years and her father a member of the Poole Board of Guardians, the bridegroom being Churchwarden and member of the church choir. The Rev. B. Parsons officiated and the service was choral. The bride’s dress was of silk creponne and trimmed with chiffon taffetas and filet lace, and she carried a bouquet composed of lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids were: Miss Maggie Foot, sister of the bridegroom; Miss Brenda Crumpler, cousin of the bridegroom; and Misses Adeline Abbott and Edith Young, cousins of the bride. The bride was given away by her father, and Mr. William Foot, brother, acted as best man. A reception was given at the residence of the father.
1910: Eric Aubrey Abbott Foot, the first of Lilian’s three children was born on the 20th June 1910 at the Post Office, Longham, where Lilian & Bertram now lived. Bertram at this time ran his own business as a Corn Merchant.
1911 Census: Aged 27, Lilian lives at the Post Office, Longham with her husband, Bertram, their son Eric, and a domestic servant, Louisa Marion Dear.
1912: Twins Harold Bertram A Foot & Phyllis Mary A Foot were born on the 26th April 1912
1976: At the age of 93, Lian May Abbott died in 1976
