1883: Bertram George Foot, son of John Henry Pardy Foot & Fanny Phyllis Crumpler, was born on the 31st August 1883 in Lytchett Matravers, Dorset . He was baptised on the 7th October 1883 at St Mary’s Church, Lytchett Matravers.
1891 Census: Aged 7 he lived with his parents at their grocers shop at 40 Wimborne Road, Lytchett Matravers. the census mentions that he is at this time a scholar.
1901 Census: Aged 17, Bertram is still living with his parents who’s business is now listed as a Baker & Grocers. Bertram and his elder brother Reginald H Foot are shown to be working with their father as bread makers.
1907 Marriage: On the 31st December 1907, Bertram George Foot & Lilian May Abbott were married at St Mary’s Church, Lytchett Matravers.

The marriage took place at St. Mary’s Church, Lytchett Matravers, on Tuesday afternoon, the 31st December, between Miss Lilian May Abbott, only daughter of Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Mary Ann Abbott and Mr. Bertram George Foot, second son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. P. Foot. Both parties are well known and respected at Lytchett Matravers, the bride having been assistant mistress of the Council Schools for some years and her father a member of the Poole Board of Guardians, the bridegroom being Churchwarden and member of the church choir. The Rev. B. Parsons officiated and the service was choral. The bride’s dress was of silk creponne and trimmed with chiffon taffetas and filet lace, and she carried a bouquet composed of lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids were: Miss Maggie Foot, sister of the bridegroom; Miss Brenda Crumpler, cousin of the bridegroom; and Misses Adeline Abbott and Edith Young, cousins of the bride. The bride was given away by her father, and Mr. William Foot, brother, acted as best man. A reception was given at the residence of the father.
1911 Census: Aged 27, Bertram is listed as a corn merchant and lives at the Post Office, Longham with Lilian, their son Eric, and a domestic servant, Louisa Marion Dear.
1954: At the age of 70 Bertram George Foot died in 1954 and is to the best of my knowledge buried in an unmarked grave somewhere near Blandford, Dorset.
